As mentioned in the notice below, please find the document entitled “IATF Global Waivers and Measures in Response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19)”. If you have any questions, please contact your relevant IATF Oversight Office.
The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) is currently discussing the impact of the coronavirus 2019-nCoV on the IATF 16949 certification scheme. First and foremost, our current top priority is the safety and well-being of everyone involved in the IATF 16949 scheme.
The impact on the global economy and, in particular, on the automotive industry is unprecedented. Each day brings new developments and we want to assure you that the IATF leadership continues to both monitor and address all the emerging situations regionally and globally as they occur.
The IATF is in close communication and working together to assess the next steps to be executed from our contingency plan.
The IATF is looking at ways to provide temporary relief to upcoming audits beyond those currently outlined in CB Communique 2020-001. The IATF has created a document entitled “IATF Global Waivers and Measures in Response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19)” to communicate the latest updates to all IATF Stakeholders. The IATF will update this document as additional options are available.
The “IATF Global Waivers and Measures in Response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19)” document will be available in the “Latest News” section by 28th March 2020 on the IATF Global Oversight website https://www.iatfglobaloversight.org/.
